Isoflavones mimic the action of oestrogen which women in menopause start to lose and this loss causes menopause related symptoms. They are widely used by women to maintain their health and vitality especially during the time of menopause. Isoflavones can be taken through normal diet (e.g., soya) but it is difficult to get to the recommended daily intake of 40-80mg. Menopace contains 20mg of isoflavone in each tablet.

Clinical data for the product is limited

As for the individual micronutrients, it is generally accepted that the micronutrients in the tablet contributes maintenance of general health among women. However, there is limited clinical data to show any effect among women in menopause.

As for the isoflavones, there are some clinical data at high dose (40mg-80mg) but the results are mixed, some studies showing the chemical’s effect on hot flush while others showing no clear effect. Effect of low dose (20mg) isoflavone on symptoms of menopause is not sufficiently studied.
