Idracare® will combat vaginal dryness caused by:

• hormonal changes related to the menstrual cycle, pregnancy and after childbirth, breastfeeding, peri-and post-menopause
• hormonal contraceptives (the pill)
• intense exercise
• smoking
• stress
• chemotherapy or radiotherapy
• antibiotic use, which can affect the healthy bacteria in the vagina that create a natural protective environment (the microbiota).

Idracare® combats vaginal dryness in the following ways:

Bioecolia provides nutrients to the healthy bacteria in the vagina, rebalancing the natural protective environment (the microbiota) and reducing the risk of infections
Aloe vera moisturises and repairs tissue
Hyaluronic acid moisturises the tissues and provides greater elasticity to the vulvo-vaginal mucosa.

Bioecolia: promotes a healthy microbiota – the natural balance of healthy bacteria in the vagina that helps protect against infections.

Hyaluronic acid): moisturises tissues and provides elasticity to the vaginal mucosa. This ingredient is encapsulated in niosome form, a targeted drug-delivery system that concentrates the active ingredients in deeper layers of the tissue, speeding up the repair and healing process.

Yes – Idracare® has been tested in a clinical trial called the Idra Study, which looked at the efficacy and safety of the gel. Perimenopausal and postmenopausal women who took part were treated with a single–dose cannula of Idracare® gel twice a week, for 12 weeks. In an analysis of the results from 127 women in the study, 80 per cent saw a decrease in vaginal dryness and improvement in elasticity and moisture. And 87 per cent saw an improvement to difficult or painful intercourse they had experienced.

We don’t yet have any safety data from clinical trials relating to the use of Idracare® in pregnancy.

In the Idra Study, a clinical trial of Idracare® gel, there were no serious adverse effects reported. Idracare® contains no known allergens. It should be avoided in cases of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
